AB Split Test vs Sigmize
It’s great to see new teams entering the CRO space - more awareness helps everyone. But when you compare depth, reliability, privacy, and true WordPress integration, it's not a fair fight.
AB Split Test Overview
AB Split Test has been active since 2018 and is built specifically for WordPress - not bolted on, not SaaS-dependent. Everything runs locally: no remote servers, no external cookies, no third-party data storage.
Key strengths include:
- Deepest WordPress genuine page-builder integration in the industry (Blocks, Elementor, Bricks, Beaver Builder, WPBakery, Oxygen, Breakdance, templates, parts, headers, footers).
- Test anything: elements, blocks, sections, CSS/JS, templates, full pages, multivariate.
- Unlimited tests, variations, goals, and traffic.
- Heatmaps and scrollmaps built right inside WordPress.
- Privacy-first with local data only and no user identifying data used.
- AI-powered CRO assistant that scans your site gives ideas based on CRO and UX principals, then CREATES TESTS for you, rewriting in your tone of voice, to your customer.
- Automatic canonical handling for SEO safety.
- Zero vendor lock-in.
- Not relying on cloudflare servers to remain online to access and use my data.
- Doesnt get blocked by adblockers
Sigmize Overview
Sigmize is a very new entry (released late 2025). It’s an entirely SaaS product that is acting like a plugin - but runs everything on its own servers. The concept is fine - but it’s still early, and the approach comes with limitations.
Sigmize offers:
- Nothing Unique
- SaaS-based A/B testing of URLs.
- Remote session recordings and heatmaps. (A wrapper of rrweb, same as the free Microsoft Clarity, PostHog etc)
- Remote experiment management via an external dashboard.
- Revenue tracking for WooCommerce, EDD, and SureCart.
