AB Split Test now works hand in hand with popular consent tools like Borlabs, Complianz, and CookieYes to keep your tracking compliant without changing how your tests run.
Nothing about the visitor experience changes. Variations load instantly. Tests run exactly as you’d expect. The only thing that changes is where your data lives until consent is given.
We simply keep test data stored locally in session, not in cookies and not on your server, until the visitor gives the green light. Once consent is granted, everything syncs back automatically.
Why This Matters
A lot of consent tools stop everything until the visitor agrees. That can break tests, mess with analytics, or cause flicker.
AB Split Test avoids that. It keeps the test experience seamless while holding the data locally until it’s safe to sync.

How To Enable It
- Update to the latest version of AB Split Test.
- Go to Settings → AB Split Test → Privacy – Cookie Consent.
- Enable “Wait for approval.”
From then on, AB Split Test will keep visitor data in session until consent is granted and sync it automatically when allowed.

Does it slow down my site?
No. Rendering and UX are completely unaffected.
Will it mess with my test data?
Not at all. Events are simply held locally and then synced when consent is given.
What happens if a visitor never clicks Accept?
Their data never leaves their session. Nothing is stored or transmitted.
What about analytics like GA4?
If you’re using AB Split Test’s built in analytics or Tag Manager, events are only sent after consent.
