AB Split Test Live Recap – April 24, 2025: Built-In AI, Smarter Tracking, and Faster Testing

In our latest live stream, we walked through some major updates, a full AI walkthrough, real-time testing strategies, and best practices for optimizing WordPress sites using Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).

If you're looking to improve how you test, what you test, and how easily you can do it, this update is for you.

AI is now fully built into AB Split Test

No more copying OpenAI keys or jumping through hoops.
You just click, generate variations, and launch your test.

We also added AI credits to every plan and baked it right into Magic Test.
If you've ever stared at a blank variation wondering, "what do I even change?"  -  this is for you.

Here’s what you get:

  • Solo plan: 20 credits/month

  • Agency plan: 80 credits/month

  • Lifetime Solo users: 480 credits total

  • Old subscribers: 30 credits/year (yep, even if you're on legacy plans)

You can use these credits to auto-generate test variations with Magic Test - or plug in your own OpenAI key if you want unlimited suggestions.

Magic Test Got a Major Upgrade Too

  • You don’t need an OpenAI key anymore. It’s built-in!

  • The variation selector is cleaner

  • You can add multiple elements to a test super fast

  • AI suggestions are smarter based on your page’s tone

You can literally spin up a test in about 20 seconds.
No marketing team required.

Smarter Tracking and Analytics

We tweaked how test visits and conversions get logged:

  • Views are only counted when the variation is actually visible (no more counting just because the page loaded)

  • Server-side events (like WooCommerce orders) now trigger analytics properly

  • Direct links to specific variations (super handy for reviewing results)

Bottom line: your test data will be cleaner and way closer to how people are actually interacting with your pages.

CRO Tip of the Week: Revenue Per Visitor > Conversion Rate

If you're running e-commerce tests, stop worrying only about clicks and form fills.
Revenue per visitor is the metric that actually moves the needle.

We added better support for revenue-based optimization too.
Now you can easily track which version makes you more money and not just which one gets more button clicks.

As always, if you have any questions, test ideas, hit reply or send a message through the support widget.
