Is AB Split Test CAN-SPAM/CASL/GDPR compliant? - We think so
AB Split Test does not collect identifiable information on your visitors. No IP addresses, MAC addresses, user agents or anything similar.
While we do use cookies to AB Split Test on your users, they are first-party cookies, managed solely on your website (yay self-hosted) and they are not used for profiling, which brings us to this line in GDPR Cookie policy
- Statistics cookies — Also known as “performance cookies,” these cookies collect information about how you use a website, like which pages you visited and which links you clicked on. None of this information can be used to identify you. It is all aggregated and, therefore, anonymized. Their sole purpose is to improve website functions.
All other privacy laws have similar suggestions and wording, and for that reason we think that AB Split Test can be used without Cookie consent.
